Deterrence v. Rehabilitation This past week we discussed laws and punishments can be acting as a deterrence for others committing a crime. For the Functionalism Perspective we will look at a deterrance program called Scared Straight with an article in Actively Learn. We will then compare the Bard Prison Initiative (Rehabilitation) and Scared Straight for how the two concepts are similar and unique at the same time.
